Ferrari Subframe Restoration – Shotblast, Fabrication & Powder Coat, Frome

A Ferrari subframe arrived at our Westbury workshop in poor shape — the steel had gone rotten, with deep corrosion eating into several sections that simply couldn't be left as they were. The owner, based in Frome, wanted it done properly rather than patched and hoped for the best. The first step was shotblasting the whole subframe back to bare metal. That strips away every bit of surface rust, old paint and contamination, and shows you exactly what you're working with — where the metal's still sound and where it's gone too far. Several sections were beyond saving, so we fabricated new pieces from fresh steel, shaped to match the original profile, and welded them in with full penetration welds. The remaining original metal was treated and prepped, and once all the repairs were complete the entire subframe was powder coated for a durable, corrosion-resistant finish that'll outlast the factory coating. This is the kind of work we genuinely enjoy — bringing a corroded structural component back from the brink and handing it back better than new.
